A UC Berkeley graduate, Raquel moved to Los Angeles permanently in 2002.  Raquel’s career began as a vocalist for George Clinton/Parliament Funkadelic and as a print fashion model in Brazil. She quickly transitioned to film, television, and theater.  Raquel was cast in “Phenomenon” with John Travolta.  She was also John’s language coach for the film.  Raquel then performed in the films Matrix: Reloaded and Dark Light.  She has just completed principle photography on a television pilot for a major network, TBA.

She co-produced and starred in the “The Night of the Black Cat“ which ran for nine months and was the winner of the LA Best Musical Award.  She also starred in the successful run of “Skits n Giggles” in Hollywood. Most recently she performed to high acclaim the role of Millie in Neil Simon’s “California Suite.” She is currently set to reprise her comedic talents in the Christopher Durang play “Beyond Therapy” as Charlotte.

Raquel’s music mentor is George Clinton, who is also producing her solo album entitled Raquel Brussolo. She co-produced, wrote and performed the background lyrics and piano on the song “I Can Dance” on Mr. Clinton’s "How Late Do U Have 2BB4UR Absent?" album.
