Contact Lori

Upon moving to Los Angeles in 1994, Lori began as an associate producer for The Blank Theater Company in their Young Playwright’s series.  The winner of that series had their play or musical produced as a full main stage production, which Lori stayed on as an associate producer.  Simultaneously, Lori gained membership into The Sarah Fulton Group and Theater East as an actress.  In 1995, she co-produced, co-wrote and performed in an original play entitled “Love Notes”.  Between 1995 and 1999 her focus was primarily on performing.  In July 1999, Lori produced and performed in Samuel Henry Kass’ “Lusting After Pipino’s Wife”  In that same year, winning an Ovation Award for Best Ensemble for “La Gioconda” written Randy Schulman.

In the early 2000’s, Lori turned her attention towards film and co-produced a short entitled “Face of the Assailant” written by Kevin (Micce) Bertazzon which won 2nd Place in the Philafilm International Film Festival.  From there, Lori and Kevin collaborated again on a short film entitled “Raymond’s Issues” which screened at the New York International Film Festival.  The latter was a piece of a full-length mockumentary entitled “Found: The Rejected Footage from ‘I Once Was Lost’” produced by Lori and Kevin Bertazzon.  The feature went on to screen at Philafilm International Film Festival and The Atlanta Underground Film Festival.  During this same time, Lori was an active member of The Write Act Repertory Company as a performer.

In 2007, being asked to direct a one-act play at Loyola Marymount University began her work as a director.  Lori also directed “The Master Builder” by Henrik Ibsen at The People’s Theater in Santa Monica and is now a co-producer at The People’s Theater in Santa Monica.
